Ellie Hambling

Ellie is an associate solicitor in Holmes & Hills’ well-regarded Planning Law Department, recognised by both Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500. The Department is also acknowledged by Planning Magazine as one of the largest and fastest growing Planning Departments in the country. Ellie provides expert planning law advice to clients in both the private and public sectors, including developers, planning consultants, landowners and local authority planning officers.

Her experience and knowledge enable Ellie to provide advice on all aspects of planning law including:

• Planning appeals (including Statutory Challenges and Judicial Reviews in both the High Court and the Court of Appeal)
• Breaches of planning and listed building control
• Certificates of Lawfulness (existing and proposed development)
• Permitted Development Rights
• Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Regulations

Ellie takes the time to understand the unique circumstances of each of her clients, enabling her to provide comprehensive and proactive commercial advice tailored to each individual case.

Ellie has also been a speaker at Holmes & Hills’ annual Planning Law Updates, a widely regarded series of seminars across Essex and Suffolk. These seminars attracts more than 400 attendees each year, including developers, planning consultants, architects, surveyors and local authority planning officers.
