Abbie works with main contractors and sub-contractors; alongside the broader Construction Division, she supports the firm’s construction clients with a wide range of contentious and non-contentious Construction Law matters.
As an associate in Holmes & Hills' Legal 500 Recommended Construction Division, part of the firm’s broader Dispute Resolution Department, Abbie works closely with fellow Construction Law specialists, Sam Bawden and Lawrence Pearce. Working together, Abbie and the Construction Division ensure clients’ commercial interests are protected when beginning, ending, or disputing a construction contract.

In addition to advising on disputes, alongside her colleagues in the Construction Division, Abbie provides training to the senior leadership and management teams of construction clients, to assist them in identifying and minimising legal risk in their management of construction contracts and projects.
Abbie has specialised in Construction Law since qualifying as a solicitor. Abbie joins Holmes & Hills having gained invaluable exposure and experience being a member of a specialist construction team at a highly regarded London-based law firm, where she had been mainly assisting social housing providers on contentious construction matters. During her time with this London-based law firm, Abbie worked on a broad range of construction disputes, from fire safety-related matters through to matters relating to cladding.
Abbie joined Holmes & Hills Solicitors in June 2022 following working as a construction solicitor within the large construction department of a London law firm. Abbie is based at Holmes & Hills’ A12 Commercial Hub, Colchester (Marks Tey).
