Holmes & Hills Solicitors is pleased to announce that Sam Bawden and Lawrence Pearce, Partners and Heads of the Construction Division, will be speaking at the upcoming Essex Build Expo.
The event, organised by Essex County Council, is set to take place on Thursday 13th March at Hylands House. The Essex Build Expo will run from 8:45 AM to 3 PM, and has already reached full capacity, highlighting the significance of this event to the region’s construction industry.
Essex County Council has invited Sam and Lawrence as guest speakers to share their legal expertise to the attendees of the event. Their talk, titled “Navigating Common Contractual Pitfalls: An Introduction for Contractors and Sub-Contractors”, will run from 11:45 AM to 12:20 PM. With contractual disputes being a major risk in the construction industry, this session will provide contractors and sub-contractors with practical tips to prevent costly legal issues and ensure contractual compliance.
Sam and Lawrence both possess extensive experience in advising both contractors and sub-contractors on contractual disputes and will provide in-depth guidance to help mitigate risk and draft stronger contracts from the outset.
The Essex Build Expo is supported by a number of key partners, one of which is Constructing Excellence Essex Club (CEEC). Holmes & Hills have a long standing relationship with CEEC, with Sam Bawden previously serving as chair and continuing as an active committee member, alongside fellow Construction Law Solicitor Chrissie Parkes. As a key event partner, CEEC’s involvement reinforces the strong connection between Holmes & Hills Solicitors and industry leading construction initiatives in Essex.
The event will bring together Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, the region’s best main contractors, specialist sub-contractors, Contech developers, suppliers and more.
Holmes & Hills Solicitors is pleased to be a part of the Essex Build Expo, and look forward to engaging with attendees of the event while continuing to help build a stronger construction industry in Essex.
