Commercial solicitors supported Mushroom Man on their £1.2 million sale to S. Thorogood & Sons

Holmes & Hills Solicitors Corporate and Commercial Team is pleased to have advised on the successful acquisition of Mushroom Man by S. Thorogood & Sons for £1.2 million.

S. Thorogood & Sons (Thorogood) is an Essex-based family business which has been trading for nearly 100 years. Thorogood’s core business is a fruit and vegetable grower and wholesaler operating across various markets in London; with the acquisition of Mushroom Man, a dedicated mushroom supplier to many of London’s finest eateries adds another string to their existing brand portfolio.

Thorogood’s management team received expert advice from solicitors across several of Holmes & Hills’ specialist departments, but Thorogood were predominantly assisted by Natalie Stoter and the team of corporate and commercial solicitors at Holmes & Hills who advised on the negotiation, legal due diligence, and drafting of extensive transactional documents. From concept to completion of the deal, Senior Solicitor Natalie Stoter worked closely with lead corporate finance advisor, Robert Dukelow-Smith of Forward Corporate Finance who was instrumental in the financial due diligence and commercial negotiations. The ‘Mushroom Man’, Michael Hyams will be heading into retirement following the sale and Mark James and Nitin Sharma will continue to run Mushroom Man within the Thorogood group.
