It has been a prosperous month for Holmes & Hills planning law solicitors, who have been listed by Chambers and Partners UK as one of the top five solicitors in East Anglia for planning law. This success comes shortly after they were ranked as a top tier firm in the South East in the prestigious Legal 500 publication. These are huge achievements for the team, who have spent the past few weeks delivering their annual planning law updates to local authorities and private sector clients.
Chambers and Partners is a guide to leading law firms and individual lawyers around the world, made up of the findings of 85 experienced researchers.
The team of planning and development solicitors is led by partner of the firm Steven Hopkins. He commented on their recent achievements ‘this is a fabulous achievement for Holmes & Hills. It is all down to the consistent hard work of the planning team and the excellent calibre of clients and referrers.’
Individually, Holmes & Hills senior planning law solicitor Jo Lilliott has been named by Chambers and Partners as an ‘associate to watch’. Jo has been practicing planning law for more than 30 years and is an expert in negotiating and drafting complex Section 106 agreements. Consultant for Holmes & Hills David Whipps has been listed yet again as a senior statesperson. David is also the only ranked planning lawyer in Essex in the current edition of the Chambers and Partners UK. He was described by one interviewee as "an encyclopedia of planning law.”
Holmes & Hills planning law team continue to go from strength to strength, putting on a number of popular events each year which see hundreds of attendees, and being listed in Planning Magazine among the top 50 firms of planning law solicitors in the UK for 5 consecutive years, improving their ranking each year.
