Holmes & Hills has been recognised as one of the leading firms of solicitors in the South East by an independent directory of the UK’s best law firms.
The Legal 500 has recognised Holmes & Hills as a leading source of Planning Law Advice in the South East for a fourth consecutive year. In addition, and for the first-time, Holmes & Hills has also been recognised as a leading provider of advice and representation relating to commercial property matters and personal injury claims.
Upon hearing the news, Holmes & Hills’ Managing Partner, Mark Cornell, said.
“The legal industry has become an extremely specialised market place. Customers are now very aware that they do not just need a “lawyer”. They need a lawyer who has the skill set and experience in the discipline in which they practice. Our Legal 500 recognition shows that Holmes & Hills is being regarded as a substantial practice with the range of specialisms to service the needs of business and private clients.”
Holmes & Hills’ team of commercial property solicitors, led by Rebecca Mason, Partner of the firm, has grown to be one of the largest teams in Essex specialising in commercial property matters. Last year the team dealt with matters involving over £338m worth of commercial interests. Commenting on the recognition of her team as leaders in their field, Rebecca said
“The ranking is fantastic news for the commercial property team which has grown significantly over the last 2 years both in number and reputation in the local legal market. It is recognition of the efforts put in by the whole team.”
Recognition of Holmes & Hills’ national team of personal injury solicitors, by The Legal 500, reflects the many complex cases the team acts on, representing clients across the country. The team has expert personal injury lawyers advising on a wide range of accident and injury claims. However, the team has experienced lawyers offering specialist legal advice in relation to serious clinical negligence, accident at work and military injury compensation claims.
In addition to the Legal 500 accreditation, Holmes & Hills is also recognised as a leading provider of Planning Law advice by Chambers & Partners, another independent directory of the country’s leading law firms. The firm’s Planning & Development Team was also ranked in the top 50 UK law firm’s for its Planning Law advice services by Planning Magazine, back in March.
Over recent years, Holmes & Hills has grown significantly to become one of the largest law firms in north Essex and south Suffolk. This expansion has seen the firm open three new offices in Tiptree, Coggeshall and most recently Sudbury, adding to its long established offices located in Braintree and Halstead.
This most recent recognition of the firm’s specialist services by The Legal 500 represents and reflects Holmes & Hills’ growing reputation as a provider of specialist legal advice and representation to private and commercial clients across the South East and East Anglia.
