Over 500 visitors to the 2014 Taste of Sudbury event, held at the weekend, snapped up copies of Holmes & Hills’ very own recipe book, which features homemade recipes from the staff at the local firm of solicitors.
Sunday’s Taste of Sudbury event was the second of its kind to be organised following its launch last year and was a resounding success. The event saw a wide range of local food and drinks producers displaying and selling their wares, as well as a full day of live cooking presentations and an evening of live music. The event, organised by the Sudbury Town Team, with which Holmes & Hills is heavily involved, attracted an estimated 4000 people from Sudbury and the surrounding areas. Organisers were even able to arrange wall-to-wall sunshine.
As main sponsors and supporters of the Taste of Sudbury, Holmes & Hills solicitors in Sudbury got into the spirit of the event by compiling a full recipe book, featuring some of the favourite recipes of the staff at the firm. From the Holmes & Hills stall, which displayed the results of some of the recipes, the firm distributed over 500 copies of the recipe book to people impressed by the dishes on display, which all feature in the recipe book.
Such was the popularity of the recipe book that when printed copies had run out, 40+ people supplied their e-mail addresses so they could be e-mailed an electronic copy. In addition to demonstrating their cooking talents, lawyers from Holmes & Hills that were present on the day, including Rebecca Mason, Sam Bawden and Gemma Farguson, were also able to answer a number of legal questions and queries which visitors had.
