Holmes & Hills solicitors in Sudbury is pleased to announce it is the main sponsor of the Taste of Sudbury event taking place on 22nd June.
The event, organised by the Sudbury Town Team, was launched in 2013 with a view to promoting Sudbury and the many local producers of food and drink products that are based in the town and its surrounding villages. Last year approximately 50 local producers and restaurants showed their wares, offering cooking demonstrations and giving out tasters to the 1,000s that descended on Sudbury to get involved.
Such was the success and level of positive feedback to last year’s Taste of Sudbury that the organisers decided to turn it into an annual community event. This year’s event will take place on Sunday 22nd June and will feature a main stage and screens in the centre of town where cooking demonstrations will be taking place throughout the day. This will be accompanied by 57 exhibitors stalls providing free tasters and selling everything from fruit juice to marshmallows.
Lesley Dolphin of BBC Suffolk Radio will begin proceedings on the main stage and will be followed by demonstrations from chefs at The Black Lion Hotel (Long Melford), The Angel (Bury St Edmunds) and Scutchers of Long Melford, as well as music from Adam Chinery (solo guitarist).
Announcing Holmes & Hills’ support for the event Phil Davies, Holmes & Hills’ Marketing Manager, said: “Holmes & Hills is always keen to support community events and when it materialised the Sudbury Town Team was once again to organise the popular Taste of Sudbury event we were very keen to be involved. We are delighted to be the main sponsor.”
The Sudbury Town Team is a voluntary not-for-profit organisation promoting business interests in Sudbury and the surrounding areas. The group is led by Jane Hatton, Town Centre Development Manager for Sudbury and also includes a number of representatives from local businesses, including Rebecca Mason and Sam Bawden of Holmes & Hills Solicitors.
