For the second consecutive year the Institute of Highways Engineers asked Holmes & Hills Solicitors’ Planning & Development team to deliver a day-long training programme to its members at their annual conference which took place in Birmingham on 21st May.
David Whipps, Head of Holmes & Hills specialist team of Planning Law solicitors, delivered an overview of the planning system including covering in what instance planning permission is required and how applications are determined. Jo Lilliott, a solicitor in the Planning & Development Team, then delivered a talk and workshops on S106 agreements to attendees.
Members of the Institute of Highways Engineers had come from all over the UK to attend the conference and represented a number of county councils across the UK.
