Catherine is a solicitor and the most recent member of Holmes & Hills' Compulsory Purchase and Development Consent Division, within Holmes & Hills' Legal 500 recommended Planning Law Department – she joined in September 2022.
Catherine previously worked within the specialist Planning department of a large London law firm. Her experience includes advising on major infrastructure projects and Inquiries, compulsory purchase and compensation matters, Transport and Works Act applications, Highway and Infrastructure Agreements. Indeed, Catherine was an original contributing author to the Butterworths Compulsory Purchase and Compensation Service.
More recently Catherine has worked in the public sector providing advice and support for statutory consultees to a plethora of planning applications.
With a particular interest, and a wealth of previous experience, in Development Consent Order (DCO), Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPO), and Blight claim matters, Catherine works closely with fellow specialist in these areas, Michael Harman.
Catherine is based at Holmes & Hills regional head office – the A12 Commercial Hub – in Marks Tey, Colchester.
