Chris Milner, land and development specialist, joins Holmes & Hills Solicitors

Holmes & Hills Solicitors is pleased to announce the recruitment of experienced development and land solicitor, Chris Milner, further strengthening the firm’s service offering to developers, landowners, and land promoters across East Anglia.

Chris joins Holmes & Hills Solicitors as an Associate and as a senior figure with the Land and Development Department, further bolstering the specialist offering from the Holmes & Hills’ commercial division. Prior to joining Holmes & Hills, Chris has previously led the Commercial Property Team at another law firm and joins Holmes & Hills from his most recent position within a large regional firm’s specialist development team. Chris brings with him a decade of experience dealing with specialist land and property matters.

Chris joins Holmes & Hills to service a growing client base of developers, landowners, and land promoters, alongside fellow land and development specialist and Partner, Rebecca Mason. Rebecca and Chris will be joined by a further specialist property solicitor who will join the Land and Development Department in the summer of 2022.

Commenting on his joining the Development and Land Department, which forms part of the ever-expanding Commercial Division at Holmes & Hills Solicitors, Chris said:

Experienced and specialising in land and development matters, Chris will advise and represent clients in:

• Negotiating and drafting conditional agreements and development agreements, including joint-venture agreements, pre-emptive agreements, option agreements, consortium agreements, and promotion agreements
• Dealing with development finance
• Resolution of title issues to facilitate development
• Delivering strategic advice aimed at facilitating development
• Acquisition of land and development site set up
• Disposal of land for development

Chris prides himself on providing pragmatic and commercial advice underpinned by an acute understanding of his client's commercial and project aims and timescales. Chris always takes a practical and commercial approach and strives to add value through his specialist experience and expertise in the field of land and development.
