David is one of the leading Planning Law solicitors in the region. He is the only Planning Law solicitor in Essex to be recognised by Chambers & Partners as a leading lawyer in the field. He is also recognised by the Legal 500 as a 'Leading Individual' for his expertise and is a Legal Associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
David is a consultant at Holmes & Hills, within the firm's growing Planning Law Department.
David acts for developers, landowners, and local authorities across Essex and Suffolk, advising and representing his clients in respect of all areas of Planning Law. In particular, he is a proficient, experienced advocate at planning appeals and hearings in the Magistrates, Crown, County, and High courts. His extensive experience, regional knowledge, and competitive fee structure make instructing him to undertake a planning inquiry or provide a legal opinion a cost-effective alternative to Counsel.
Alongside his colleagues in the Planning Law Department, David delivers the region's largest series of annual Planning Law Updates. In 2016 over 400 planning consultants, planning officers, land and property consultants, surveyors, and architects booked to attend and hear the team speak at one of the six events held across Essex and Suffolk.
