Jason works with clients who have been the victim of medical negligence or serious personal injury, or the families of those that have fallen ill or been injured. Jason works to establish the facts of a claim, build the strongest possible claim, and obtain the best possible settlement for his clients.
As a partner in Holmes & Hills Solicitors’ Legal 500 recommended Clinical Negligence and Serious Injury Department, Jason often represents clients in high-value claims of over £1 million. Jason’s caseload is comprised completely of complex birth, brain, and spinal injury claims, the majority resulting from or exacerbated by medical negligence.
As many of Jason’s clients have suffered injury, he is sensitive to their needs and will adjust his methods of communication accordingly to ensure the client is always aware of what is happening with the claim. Jason’s experience in this field is such that although there initially may seem to be no claim to pursue, his expertise will uncover prior incidences that result in a successful claim being made.
Jason is regarded as a specialist in his field, demonstrated by him being recommended as one of the leading medical negligence solicitors in the region by the Legal 500 – an independent directory of the UK’s top law firms and leading solicitors. As a Senior Litigator member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) Jason is recognised as providing expert legal advice, support, and representation to victims of accidents.
Jason may act directly for a client, or may act for a representative of the client, depending on the circumstances of the claim. Jason has secured large compensation amounts for amputees, victims of medical misdiagnosis, brain injury survivors, and mothers and children injured during birth. Jason is praised by clients for being compassionate, patient, providing excellent advice, and for working tirelessly to build the strongest legal case on their behalf.
Jason joined Holmes & Hills in 1999 as a trainee solicitor and through his diligence and professionalism was made a partner of the firm, and Head of Holmes & Hills Clinical Negligence and Serious Injury Department. Jason is an accredited member of the Law Society Clinical Negligence panel. He is also a ‘Senior Litigator’ and an Accredited Clinical Negligence Specialist, recognised by APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers). He is also recognised as a specialist in dealing with head injury claims by Headway – the brain injury association.
Jason is based at Holmes & Hills Solicitors' regional Head Office - the A12 Commercial Hub - in Colchester (Marks Tey).
