The first talk, scheduled to start at 1pm, will see two of our construction law solicitors, Sam Bawden and Chrissie Parkes, taking a look at which clauses often pose the greatest risk to contractors, and how to spot them. This will focus on the recently released JCT 2024 contracts and the recent Supreme Court judgement in relation to Collateral Warranties.
The second talk, delivered by Lawrence Pearce and Chrissie Parkes, will offer five reasons resulting in contractors in the construction industry, not being paid. From monthly applications to payment schedules, the risks of non-payment are many! The smallest changes can render an application to be invalid. And what about payment requests you receive? Are they valid?
